As part of the mass housing development initiative in Nguru Local Government Area, Yobe State, this project delivered essential electricity infrastructure to power a newly constructed residential community. The aim was to ensure uninterrupted and safe electrical access to every unit in the estate, while also laying the groundwork for future grid expansion and smart utility integration.

The project encompassed the design, supply, and installation of complete low- and medium-voltage electrical systems. This included transformer siting, overhead line construction, underground cable routing, street lighting, and residential service connections. The infrastructure was engineered to meet national electrical safety standards, with robust capacity for load distribution and ease of maintenance.

Our implementation strategy ensured minimal disruption to surrounding areas and future-proofing of the system for estate expansion and load increases. The electrification of the estate not only brings light and convenience but also supports economic activity, education, and community safety.

Scope of Work:

• Siting and installation of step-down transformers (11/0.415kV)

• Construction of low and medium voltage distribution lines

• Erection of concrete poles and stringing of overhead conductors

• Underground cable works and residential power connections

• Electrical metering systems for individual housing units

• Street lighting installation for public safety and visibility

• Earthing, surge protection, and regulatory safety compliance

• Coordination with local electricity distribution authorities for grid integration

Community Impact:
This project has brought reliable electricity access to hundreds of households, transforming the housing estate into a functional and livable community. It supports residents’ daily needs—from lighting and refrigeration to education and communication—and contributes to the long-term sustainability of the housing initiative.
